Mary Winkler

Mary Winkler of Wesbury, and formerly of Winkler Drive, Meadville, died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Meadville Medical Center.

Mrs. Winkler was born in Greenville, Nov. 17, 1933, to John Williams and Helen Saunders.

She was a homemaker, and attended the Trinity United Methodist Church, Conneaut Lake. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting and card games.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard L. Winkler who she married, Nov. 17, 1950; two sons, Dale Winkler and his wife Cheryl of Cheaspeake, Va., Donald Winkler and his companion, Nancy Robinson of Conneaut Lake; a daughter, Marlene Lucas and her husband James of Conneaut Lake; two sisters, Dora Frantz of Adamsville, Pa., and Harriett Luciana and her husband Tony of Greenville, Pa.; a brother, Emory Williams and his wife Laura of Colorado; eight grandchildren, James A., Mary and Richard Lucas, Randy O'Neil, Melissa Crawford, Cassandra Clark, Donald L. Winkler and Angela Keppel; 14 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Winkler was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Paul A. Williams; a sister, Gladys Henderson; and her great-grandson, Nathan Keppel.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday at Dickson Funeral Home, 130 N. Second St., Conneaut Lake, Pa., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William "Skip" Green of the Trinity United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Meadville.
