Daughter of John Adam and Anna Magdalena (Heckart) Hain, was born in Heidelberg Township, Berks County, August 14, 1762, baptized August 29, 1762, sponsor, Rosina Fisher, daughter of William Fisher. Rosina was married 1778 to John Yost Lerch, a shoemaker from Oley Township. He was born January 30, 1752, and died December 8, 1805. He built a large two-story stone dwelling (later remodeled by adding a mansard roofed third story) along the south side of the then Berks and Dauphin Turnpike in 1797, which was probably the second house in what is now the borough of Wernersville. It was used as a tavern from 1798 to 1858 also for some years as a general store, as well as a private dwelling. Rosina died November 21, 1823. Buried at Hain's Church.
